The Two Ten Footwear Foundation is reporting that Jonathan Frankel, president of Aldo Product Services at the Aldo Group, has been named the Foundation’s Board chair, succeeding Joe Preston, president and CEO, New Balance, and Ed Rosenfeld, chairman and CEO, Steve Madden, has been named Board vice chair of the charitable foundation

Preston had served as Board chair since 2024.

“We are excited to welcome in the next era of leadership to our Board,” said Shawn Osborne, president and CEO, Two Ten. “Under Joe’s direction, Two Ten delivered an exceptional relief response after several large-scale natural disasters and expanded professional development programs for women and HR professionals in footwear. Jonathan and Ed bring a deep passion for our mission and extraordinary industry experience. With both at the helm of our Board, I see a bright future for Two Ten and the footwear industry at large.”

Jonathan Frankel, as president of Aldo Product Services (APS), the wholesale and licensing division of the ALDO Group, also serves as president of Sperry Brand North America and G.H. Bass. He has served on the Two Ten Board of Directors since 2017. He is also a member of the Aldo Racing Team and has completed the Race Across America, helping raise over $200,000 for Two Ten.

“Two Ten has supported the people of our industry for nearly a century, and I’m honored to steward this organization into its next chapter,” Frankel said. “I stand on the shoulders of the incredible leaders who came before me and built the foundation we have today. As chair, my focus will be on expanding our reach and ensuring no one in the footwear community faces life’s challenges alone. Supporting the people who power this industry is both our responsibility and our privilege.”

Ed Rosenfeld has been chairman of the Board and CEO of Steven Madden, Ltd. since 2008. Since he took over, the company reports “revenues have more than quintupled, and its stock price is up nearly fifteen-fold.” Rosenfeld joined Two Ten’s Board of Directors in 2024. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of PVH Corp., the Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA) and Summer Search New York.

“I’m honored to serve as Vice Chair of the Two Ten Foundation Board alongside an exceptional group of industry leaders,” Rosenfeld said. “The Foundation’s mission of supporting footwear professionals and strengthening our community is deeply meaningful, and I look forward to working with our partners to expand resources and opportunities for colleagues across the industry.”

“With this transition in Board leadership,” added Osborne, “we’re also beginning a new tradition of recognizing our outgoing Board Chair by awarding a scholarship in his or her name. Last month, we established the Two Ten Chair Emeritus Scholarship, an endowed scholarship fund that will create a lasting legacy, honoring the leadership and commitment of a Two Ten Board Chair by supporting a footwear employee seeking higher education. Joe Preston is the first outgoing Chair to be recognized in this way.”
