Chris Bernier has joined Tubbs Snowshoes as the company's new Events and Team manager. His responsibilities will include the planning and coordination duties for the company's successful breast cancer fund-raising event series- the Tubbs Romp to Stomp Series.

Now in its seventh year, the Romp Series features a 3 km snowshoe fun run and 5 km easy snowshoe walk and showcases the 'pink ribbon' Wilderness Series snowshoes designed specifically for women. Tubbs donates $5 per pair sold to Susan G. Komen for the Cure along with all pledges and proceeds raised from the Romp Series. Last year this event series raised over $170,000 for the Komen foundation.

For the upcoming season, the Romp Series will add a new location to its schedule at Mountain Creek Resort, in Vernon, NJ. Bernier will also be in charge of coordinating Tubbs brand specific activities for Winter Trails, a national event each January focusing on introducing newcomers to the fun, healthy benefits of getting outside in the winter on cross-country skis or snowshoes.

His additional duties will include planning regional snowshoeing events; working to maintain the strong functional relationship between the company and its resort partners and specialty retailers as well as overseeing all aspects of athlete relations.

Bernier holds a bachelor of business administration degree from St. Michael's College in Vermont. His past work experiences include serving as an Adventure Sports Field Marketing Specialist for Fuse Marketing and retail sales experience in Jackson Hole, WY.

“We are delighted to welcome Chris to the Tubbs marketing team,” said Kathy Murphy, General Manager for Tubbs. “Over the next year it's our goal to focus on increasing and expanding our roster of events that showcase our sport and expose our diverse product line and his contributions will help us generate more trial and exposure for the Tubbs brand and our partners,” said Murphy.
