“Mike’s addition to the True North team gives True North the ability to offer a range of new marketing services – from dealer sell-in tools like creative catalog concepts, sales force training and collateral support materials, to sell-thru tools like point of purchase materials and sales support,” said Tedeschi.

In addition to Public Relations, Coogan’s addition now gives True North the ability to offer support in a range of marketing segments including identity, packaging, catalogues, sell-thru brochures, in-store display, consumer promotions. True North will now also offer solutions in the sales end, specializing in motivating and educating the people responsible for selling the product in, and those that sell it through at the point-of-sale.

“Perhaps the biggest change in the services that we’ll be offering are more direct to consumer guerilla marketing initiatives aimed at providing brands with new ways to increase their presence in front of a very targeted consumer base,” said Tedeschi.

Coogan, who will serve as president of the newly formed True North Marketing Division, brings 30 years of branded experience to True North where he has worked on developing consumer brands.

Most recently, Coogan served as President of Rogue Outdoor Brands, where he launched three outdoor footwear brands at the August Outdoor Retailer Show.

Prior to that, Coogan served as Vice President of Marketing at Kamik footwear and has also held senior level marketing positions with Dunham and Stride Rite.
