Tracksmith, makers of performance running apparel with a stylistic throwback to heritage track and field looks, commissioned a handful of acclaimed artists to design unique prints for the Art of the Training Tee shirts, released this summer.

The series of commissioned collaborations all pointed to the dogma of the devoted runner.

The artists involved include Tuesday Bassen (art pictured on the Tracksmith tee above), whose past clients include Playboy, The New Yorker, Nike and Adidas; Jesse LaLonde, an endurance sports pro whose art reflects his passion for the outdoors; Shawn Diaz, an art director and graphic designer with a number of awards under his belt and Ellia Latham-Brown, founder of design shop Dagger Club, who combines hand-done typography and illustrations that lean toward nostalgia.

Tracksmith blended U.S. artists’ designs with their made in Massachusetts specialty-spun Varsity cotton Grayboy endurance shirt for men and women. The shirts were released between June 2 and August 18, 2016.
