Town Sports International Holdings, Inc., a leading owner and operator of fitness clubs in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, named Todd Shugarman as its new vice president of real estate.


Shugarman brings more than 20 years of comprehensive real estate development, strategic site selection, and design and construction experience to the position. His resume includes growing companies such as Blue Tulip and Balducci's, in addition to larger retailers like Tricon and Starbucks.  Shugarman most recently served as the senior vice president of the Virginia-based company Sunrise Senior Living, operators of 316 senior living communities located in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Shugarman holds a bachelor's from American University's Kogod School of Business.  He currently resides in the Washington D.C. area with his wife and children.
