The North Face reached an agreement to become presenting sponsor for the OIA Industry Breakfast beginning with Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2010.

“This partnership with The North Face secures the health of the event for the industry and allows us to tap into their extensive resources that help us to jointly elevate and continue the critical conversations around participation and sustainability,” said Frank Hugelmeyer, OIA president and CEO.

Kicking off the partnership for Outdoor Retailer 2010 Winter Market, the Industry Breakfast will focus on exploring how we can redefine outdoor to inspire greater participation. Speakers will include Chris Fanning, executive director of The Outdoor Foundation, Juan Martinez of the Children & Nature Network and Chris Rutgers of Outdoor Outreach, each, who, through personal experiences during their youth, have become visionary pioneers addressing this issue.

“The signing of this three-year, exclusive agreement with Outdoor Industry Association is a great collaboration for The North Face and VF Outdoor. We look forward to working together to address these issues affecting the industry and to help OIA better serve their membership through education and discussion opportunities,” said Steve Rendle, president, The North Face and VF Outdoor. Timberland had been sponsoring the breakfast.

TNF sister company Eagle Creek joins Outdoor Retailer and W.L. Gore as title sponsors of the breakfast.
