Timbuk2 will open two new flagship stores in New York City, the first in Manhattan on October 15, followed by a Brooklyn store opening in November.

“With two stores, we are creating an inviting space where people can lock up their bikes, put their bags down, create a truly personalized bag, and not only educate themselves on the products, but on life on a bike. Our stores are our way of showing our commitment and dedication to the city cycling culture in both Manhattan and Brooklyn,” said CEO Patti Cazzato.

Activities being planned to celebrate Timbuk2’s Grand Opening Weekend and New York debut include:

●        Limited-Edition Dave Ortiz x Timbuk2 Giveaway (Saturday, October 15; 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.) – The first 100 people to show up at the NoHo store on opening day can trade in any used bag in exchange for this limited-edition bag.
●        Custom Next Day Delivery NYC (October 15 – November 15) – Exclusive to Timbuk2 NoHo, for the first month of business, customers who customize a new bag by 3 p.m. EST will have their one-of-a-kind pack in hand the very next day. Orders placed by 3 p.m. EST on Friday will arrive Monday.
●        Break Up With Your Bag (October 15 – December 31) – When customers bring in any bag as part of a “Break Up With Your Bag” campaign, Timbuk2 will donate the bag to a local charity or recycling center and extend each customer 30 percent off their in-store Timbuk2 purchase.

The store in NoHo will be located at 325 Lafayette Street. The Brooklyn store is in Williamsburg at 214 Berry Street.

In North America, Timbuk2 also operates stores in San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Venice Beach, Portland and Toronto as well as two outlet stores. It also has stores in Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and Iceland.
