The Picklr plans to open a new pickleball club in Avon, IN, west of Indianapolis. The 35,000-square-foot space is expected to open in late spring 2026 with 12 indoor courts, including 2 championship-sized courts. The Picklr Avon will be located on Rockville Road in a former Big Lots store.

The Picklr Avon is being developed by Pickle Indy, LLC, the Picklr’s Indiana franchise owner, and is the third of up to six clubs planned for the Indianapolis region.

Ron Brock and Dave Gilreath, local Indianapolis businessmen and managing partners of Pickle Indy, LLC, stated, “Our Keystone Crossing and Noblesville clubs have been open for over a year now, and The Picklr North Mass in downtown Indianapolis is under development with a Fall 2026 opening date. The enthusiasm we’ve seen so far just reinforces that The Picklr offers a top-notch indoor pickleball experience to players across all levels and age groups. Get ready, Avon, for some great pickleball.”

The Picklr network currently has over 500 new clubs and 5,000 courts in development nationwide. Brock and Gilreath are reportedly looking at potential properties in Greenwood and Zionville, Indiana, respectively.

Pickle Indy also holds The Picklr franchise territories in Nashville, TN, and Fort Myers and Naples, FL.
