The Outdoor Foundation has hired Stasia Raines as director of marketing and communications. In her new role, Raines will set, guide and implement the organization’s marketing and communications strategy, helping to clearly communicate its vision while growing its community and maximizing partner relationships.

“We’re thrilled to have Stasia joining our team,” said Chris Fanning, executive director of The Outdoor Foundation. “Her combination of experience and passion for the outdoors will bring the communications efforts of the organization to the next level.

Raines joins the team from the outdoor industry; recently having worked as the public relations manager for Eagle Creek travel gear where she launched the brand’s social media efforts, expanded its public relations reach and created its corporate social responsibility program. Most recently she worked as an independent communications practitioner representing brands in the outdoor and non-profit space.

The Outdoor Foundation is positively changing the way the Millennial Generation engages with the outdoors, which I consider to be one of the most pressing issues of our day,” said Raines. “I look forward to helping communicate this message and sharing the inspiring stories of young individuals getting themselves and their communities outdoors and active.”

Raines graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in business management and entrepreneurial studies.

In her free time, Raines enjoys cycling, sailing, scuba diving, backcountry guiding and exploring her backyard of Colorado. She begins her new role mid-may and can be reached at sraines@outdoorfoundation.org.
