The Mountain Lab has named Shannon Walton as its new Brand and Creative Manager.  Walton brings with her a breadth of experience including a decade in the textile industry as a PR and marketing expert and a brand building consultant.

She has spent the last decade splitting her time between being the North American PR and marketing director for Schoeller Textil USA and a partner in The Walton Works, a PR and branding agency that works with brands around the world.

“Shannon’s marketing and communications experience as well as a thorough understanding of the North American markets, press and influencers provides The Mountain Lab and our clients an exceptional knowledge base and skill set to amplify brand messaging,” says Scott McGuire, Founder and President of The Mountain Lab. “She is a champion of small businesses and the makers and doers. We’ve watched her consult with small, independent brands and manufacturers with brand and marketing strategy, communications, collaborations and creative partnerships in her previous role at Schoeller and are pleased to have her as part of the team here at Mountain Lab.”

“I’m so appreciative to be working with The Mountain Lab,” says Shannon Walton. “I’ve admired Scott McGuire’s ingenuity for the way brands can be successful yet inventive and uncommon. I have been interested in being a part of this vision, especially in the dynamic times ahead. The Mountain Lab is well positioned today to provide solutions for brands with a passion for timeless quality and a point of difference.”

Walton began her career as a mountain and river guide and has worked on the retail floor, as a sales manager, product development and in PR and Marketing as well as business development and branding. The ability to see brands and goods from the supply chain to the end consumer lets her connect the pieces and tell the stories that make products come alive.

Founded in 2011 by McGuire, The Mountain Lab is a full-service brand strategy, sales and creative marketing firm. It provides brand development; product innovation, design and development; go-to market strategy; and sales and marketing plans as well as customer service and fulfillment.
