The Clymb named Mike Steck as vice president of marketing. With over 17 years of outdoor and sporting goods industry experience, Steck will be responsible for all marketing initiatives including overall communication, social media, public relations, and growing the Clymbs member base and sales. His appointment is effective immediately.


Mike‘s extensive brand building experience and deep understanding of the market landscape will play a key role in our evolution, said Cec Annett, co-founder of The Clymb. His forwardthinking, and passion for the outdoors make him the perfect fit for our innovative, fast-growing company.


Most recently, Steck was global director of marketing for Wilson Sporting Goods, an Amer Sports company. At Wilson, he led the strategic brand development for Wilson Tennis, working
with international teams and Wilson tour players.


Prior to Wilson, Steck served as senior director of marketing, service and sustainability for Yakima for over six years. Before Yakima, he was director of marketing at Watermark working
with established paddlesports brands Dagger, Perception, Adventure Technology and Harmony.


Joining the Clymb enables me to utilize my experience with a brand that is clearly resonating with consumers, said Steck. There is a reason that the Clymb has seen such fast growth since

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Mike spends his free time skiing, surfing the Oregon coast, mountain biking and running rapids as an experienced white water kayaker.
