The Buckle Inc. reported same-store sales inched up 0.5 percent in June. Net sales grew 2.7 percent to $87.1 million.

On the men’s side of the business, total sales were up approximately 7 percent and represented approximately 48.5 percent of sales for the month versus 46.5 percent in June 2014. Strong categories in men's included denim and casual bottoms, knit shirts, shorts and accessories. Overall price points in men's were up 1 percent during the month.

In women’s, total sales were down approximately 1 percent, making up 51.5 percent of sales versus 53.5 percent. Strength was seen in casual bottoms, woven tops, shorts and dresses. Overall price points were up 7.5 percent.

Across both genders, accessories were up 2.5 percent while footwear sales fell 5 percent. Average accessory price points were up approximately 10 percent, and average footwear price points were up just slightly for the fiscal month. Accessories accounted for 10.5 percent of sales, and footwear, 5.5 percent.

Storewide, UPTs (units per transaction) were down just slightly while the average transaction value was up approximately 3.5 percent.
