The Buckle Grows Comps 7.4 Percent in January

The Buckle, Inc. reported comparable store net sales for the four-week period ended Jan. 28, increased 7.4 percent from comparable store net sales for the four-week period ended Jan. 29, 2011. Net sales for the four-week fiscal month ended Jan. 28, increased 10.9 percent to $60.3 million from net sales of $54.4 million for the prior year four-week fiscal month ended Jan. 29, 2011.

Comparable store net sales for the 13-week fourth quarter ended Jan. 28, increased 8.0 percent from comparable store net sales for the 13-week fourth quarter ended Jan. 29, 2011. Net sales for the 13-week fiscal period ended Jan. 28, increased 11.2 percent to $337.1 million from net sales of $303.1 million for the prior year 13-week fiscal period ended Jan. 29, 2011.

Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 52-week period ended Jan. 28, increased 8.4 percent from comparable store net sales for the 52-week period ended Jan. 29, 2011. Net sales for the 52-week fiscal period ended Jan. 28, increased 11.9 percent to $1.06 billion from net sales of $949.8 million for the prior year 52-week fiscal period ended Jan. 29, 2011.
