This month, Target said it will unveil “The Great Save,” a nationwide event that will feature reduced prices on a variety of  products, bulk-packaged items and designer brands in a warehouse-club-like setting without membership fees or ID cards. Target hosts the event January 3 through February 21, 2010.

“The Great Save is a way for Target to offer our guests exceptional deals on everyday essentials-just in time for their post-holiday stock-up-and a treasure-hunt experience with a variety of exciting designer brands,” said Kathee Tesija, executive vice president, Target. “This event is a fresh, innovative approach to meeting our guests’ evolving needs and providing them with the opportunity to save even more at Target.”

For seven weeks, Target said it will offer a twist on its “Expect More. Pay Less.” brand promise. Guests will find a value-driven club experience-with a variety of affordable products and bulk-packaged items ranging from paper towels and granola bars to T-shirts and bath towels-and designer brands not typically carried by the retailer. The designer brands include apparel and home décor and will be available while supplies last at approximately 1,000 of Target’s 1,740 stores. To provide guests with added convenience, Target will showcase all products offered through The Great Save in one central location of the store.
