“We want to make sure our customers have fast order processing with same day shipping, complete accuracy and the right transportation solution to minimize time in transit,” said Jennifer Lehrer, operations manager at Tahoe SUP.
Stand up paddleboards are notorious for their handling and transportation needs. The long and light product requires specialized warehouse management. Forklifts can damage the boards, and the storage space must be uniquely designed and organized to accommodate their size.
Seasonality was another factor in Tahoe SUP’s decision to hire a 3PL. Labor and space flexibility helps increase profit by paying only for space and labor as needed. For seasonal companies, additional labor during the peak season enables orders to ship faster and more accurately.
