Suunto has partnered with the three-time reigning USA Triathlon Team National Champions,  Twinlab-Full Throttle Endurance Racing Team.

The Twinlab-Full Throttle Endurance Racing Team won the National Championships in 2007 in St. Louis, in 2008 in Las Vegas and in 2009 in Oklahoma City.  The team is based out of Chelsea Piers Sports and Entertainment Complex in New York City.  That’s where they will train using the Suunto Fitness Solution for indoor group fitness workouts.

The Suunto Fitness Solution offers a personalized workout experience to fitness club members. The solution is designed for daily use in group exercises and in cardio training environments. The solution shows up to 72 club members heart rates simultaneously in real time.  The Suunto Fitness Solution automatically generates personal performance reports that can be sent to each participant by email and/or printed after the workout. The solution automatically recognizes all the participants, requiring minimum maintenance effort from the club personnel.

“Riding outside is ideal, but this is not always an option because of weather changing seasons. We wanted a partner that would allow us the best indoor training solution for monitoring the athletes†intensity zones and outputs during workouts inside Chelsea Piers Sportscenter,” says Scott Berlinger, Head Coach and President/Founder of Full Throttle Endurance Racing. “The fitness solution allows coaches to get feedback on each athlete as soon as the session is over. It’s a great training tool to make sure athletes are not overtraining.”

“Were thrilled to support Full Throttle Racing,” says Suunto North America Vice President Matt Kaplan. “Not only because they are the best triathlon team in the nation, but because they understand the importance of precision team training.”

The partnership not only puts Suunto products on the athletes, but also offers Suunto increased visibility at the nation’s top triathlon events, as Full Throttle will include Suunto logos on race clothing, signage, racing trailer vehicles and websites.
