Sunski, a sunglasses brand launched in 2012 on Kickstarter to target the $50 price point, has hired the boutique public relations and social media agency  JAM Media Collective.

We love the energy of Sunski and all that they are doing to shake up the status quo of the sunglass market, said Julie Atherton, principal and founder of JAM Media Collective. We are thrilled to be teaming up with another innovative San Francisco-based brand, especially at such a pivotal time in their companys growth.

Inspired by the vibrant colors and classic styles of sunglasses found on a surf trip to Australia, Sunski eyewear is the perfect combination of timeless design and modern craftsmanship. With solid polarization lenses, hand polished frames and a custom travel box, Sunski offers stylish sunglasses that combine affordability with luxury features.

“Sunski is thrilled to form this local partnership with such an experienced PR firm that understands our needs and shares our goals, said Tom Stewart of Sunski. We are excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with JAM Collective and feel that this partnership will prove crucial as we seek to build our brand awareness in 2015 and beyond.”

While Sunski has targeted the same $50 price point that has fueled tremendous growth at Sun Cloud Optics, sunglasses being sold at sunskis.com Tuesday had been marked down 30 percent to $33.60 to $38.50 range. Sun Cloud Optics was created by Smith Optics, which is owned by Safilo Group, a major Italian eye care company.

JAM Media Collective represents some of the worlds best known active lifestyle, outdoor, bike and fashion brands, including Osprey Packs, Mountain Hardwear, Icebreaker, Yakima Products Inc., Snow Peak and Moving Comfort.
