Sunday Afternoons, the technical and lifestyle headwear brand, appointed Robert Carroll as vice president of international sales and Greg Anderson as director of web marketing. These newly created positions at the 23-year-old company mark the brand’s increased focus on both the international market and e-commerce. Based in Southern Oregon, Sunday Afternoons designs, manufactures and markets headwear for outdoor performance and an active lifestyle.

As the head of international sales, Robert Carroll is charged with managing and expanding Sunday Afternoons’ global business through overall market and country-specific strategic planning, analysis and execution. Sunday Afternoons currently distributes in 28 markets around the world.
 
“Robert is a seasoned outdoor industry veteran with the professional background, international roots and personal passion that makes him ideal for this new position,” said Angeline Lacy, President of Sunday Afternoons. “We are excited to harness his deep experience with the outdoor industry and international business development.”
 
Carroll joins Sunday Afternoons after eight years with footwear company Keen, Inc., where he was director of sales – Asia Pacific. He got his start in the outdoor industry with Class-5 Mountaineering Equipage in the late 1970’s.
 
His extensive international business career includes 13 years in China with various technology companies, including Ricoh and Apple Computer, as well as Xerox Corporation, where he was Marketing Director of its China subsidiary.
 
Carroll graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Asian Studies and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He lives in Ashland, Oregon with his wife and four children and enjoys backpacking, travel, baseball and T’ai Chi.
 
Greg Anderson comes to Sunday Afternoons after seven years with Motorcycle Superstore, Inc., where he held the position of Sales Director. During that time, he directed and expanded the e-commerce and merchandising departments, increasing sales exponentially. Anderson also developed retail sales events across the country and implemented a successful customer loyalty program.
 
As Sunday Afternoon’s first Director of Web Marketing, Anderson will manage all aspects of the company’s online presence, including the website, online store, online marketing and social media.
 
“Greg has a proven track record in growing a brand through its online presence. We’re excited that he has traded in his motorcycle helmet for a different kind of protective headwear and will bring his online sales and marketing horsepower to our brand,” said Lacy.
 
Anderson attended Southern Oregon University and enjoys downhill mountain biking, backcountry snowboarding and riding his motorcycle in the hills of Southern Oregon.
