The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, elected Todd Seyfert, president and CEO of Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc., to its Board of Governors.
Seyfert previously served on the NSSF Board of Governors from 2015 to 2016, while at Vista Outdoor. He has been leading Ruger since March 2025.
“I’m honored to join the NSSF Board of Governors and look forward to working with my fellow Board members to help support NSSF’s work of protecting the firearm industry’s interests,” said Seyfert.
Prior to Ruger, Seyfert was CEO of FeraDyne Outdoors, LLC, a manufacturer of archery and hunting products. He has also worked at ATK/Vista Outdoor, Magnum Research, Bushnell, Michaels of Oregon, and Birchwood Laboratories.

Seyfert has served as a board member of Chattanooga Shooting Sports, Inc. He currently serves as a board member and governance chair of Hodgdon Powder Company, as well as a member of the boards of the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance and the Northwest Suburban Chapter of Pheasants Forever.
