Steiner, the maker of sporting optics, appointed Tom Frane as VP of sales, marketing and business development for North America.

Frane will be responsible for developing comprehensive strategic plans, sales and account management programs across key market segments including marine, hunting, outdoor, and military/law enforcement. He will report directly to Dale Pratt, general manager of Burris Company.

Key responsibilities include analyzing sales and marketing data, forecasting, competitive positioning, promotions, training, and serving as the principal liaison between Steiner Germany and all U.S. customers.
Frane brings more than 19 years of experience in the shooting and hunting industry. Most recently, he was national sales manager for Crimson Trace in Wilsonville, OR.  Prior to that, he was a principal for fall sports at Maschmedt & Associates in Seattle; divisional sales manager for Beretta USA and national account manager for Blount Sporting Equipment Group.

We are excited to have Tom join the Steiner team, said Pratt. He not only brings a great deal of knowledge of the sport optics industry, but most importantly, he brings his years of experience in strategic planning, sales and market analysis. We anticipate he will make significant contributions to the future growth of the Steiner product lines in the U.S. market.

Frane is a graduate from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn. He and his family will relocate from Portland, OR to Greeley, Colo.

For over 60 years, Steiner Optik, Bayreuth, Germany, has been the largest, dedicated manufacturer of high quality binoculars for commercial markets like hunting, outdoor, marine birding and for the military/law enforcement markets.

Steiner is part of the Burris Company, located in Greeley, Colo. Both companies are part of the Beretta Holding S.p.A.
