Comparable store sales performances were strong across all apparel divisions during June, and sales trends were double-digit positive in every region of the country.

“June benefited from continued positive response to both our spring apparel and Father's Day assortments,” noted Michael D. Fisher, president and chief executive officer of Stein Mart, Inc. “We continue to expect July comparable store sales to increase in the mid-single digit range as seasonal clearance dominates our marketing effort.”

Management expects comparable store sales will increase approximately 9-10 percent for the second quarter, which would produce earnings of approximately $0.09 – $0.10 per share.
