SteepandCheap.com released a free m-commerce app on the iTunes store that allows its customers to receive alerts, post comments, alert friends to deals and buy gear on their mobile phones.
The Steep and Cheap app lists the current steal and the essential info required for quick action, including the price, time remaining to score the deal, the number of available products remaining, and a Buy Now button that takes shoppers directly to the checkout cart to instantly fulfill your gear dreams. Steep and Cheap, which is one of several online stores operated by Backcountry.com, uses the one-deal-at-a-time, or ODAT, business model in which only one item is made available for sale on the site until it sells out.
Users can scroll down the screen to find:
- Detailed product image gallery and product descriptions that SaC customers have come to depend on.
- Backcountry.com’s community reviews of the featured product.
- Text and Email to a friend functionality so you can easily share the love with your friends in need.
Like the website, the app catalogs a customer's preferred shipping address, saved credit card info and billing address and options to edit or add new information.
