Start Haus and Giant Bicycle recently celebrated the grand opening of a Giant Partner Store at Ski Haus' Truckee, CA store, which is located at 10998 Donner Pass Rd.
Giant dispatched its Ride Life Ride Giant Demo rig to the event so that Ski Haus customers could test Giant mountain and
road bikes. Abbey Grimmer, of the Liv Co-Factory Off-Road Team, led an off-road women’s ride with Liv demo bikes supplied by Start Haus. Giant Pro Jeff Lenosky performed two trials stunt shows, and dozens of raffle prizes including a Giant Simple Cruiser were given away to lucky customers.
The owner of Start Haus, Jim Schaffner, and his staff have only just included bicycles and bike gear to their well-established ski business.

Start Haus is the 28th retail location to have the designation of Giant Partner Store, or GPS. These stores work closely with the Giant Retail Services team to create a professional, inviting retail space with wall coverings, graphics, and messaging featuring the Giant and Liv brands.
Start Haus hosts weekly group rides, and is also sponsoring an upcoming trail building event with the Truckee Trails Foundation on June 13th, working on the Elizabethtown Trail on Martis Dam Road.
