Staccato 2011, the manufacturer of the 2011 pistol, Staccato Ammo and Staccato Ranch, hired Willem Driessen, formerly of 5.11 Tactical and Black Diamond, as its chief marketing officer.

In this role, Driessen is responsible for leading marketing and e-commerce strategy, as well as brand messaging and communications, across all Staccato business areas, including pistols, ammunition, apparel, experiences, and memberships.

Driessen was formerly the VP of Global Marketing at 5.11 for eight years. Previously, he served as VP of Global Marketing and Direct-to-Consumer at Black Diamond Equipment.Staccato, based in Florence, TX, noted in a media release that those roles provided Driessen “with a strong perspective on the tactical and outdoor space.”

Driessen also has broad experience as a professional end-user. Dutch by birth, Willem served for several years in the Dutch military, including time in both the Royal Marine Commandos and the Netherlands’ premier special operations unit, KCT. He was deployed multiple times across the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe.

“Staccato has always been about more than building the world’s best shooting handguns,” said Justin H., co-CEO of Staccato. “We are bringing to life experiences like HAVOC at Staccato Ranch and Staccato Vegas, with an intentional focus on family, fun and freedom. Willem understands how to tell that story and expand what the Staccato brand means, not just to the professionals we serve, but to every member of our growing community.”

Buck Pierson, co-CEO of Staccato, added, “Our purpose is to create connections and experiences that honor heroes and inspire families. Willem brings both the perspective and skill to help us share that vision. With his leadership, we’ll continue to strengthen how Staccato stands for excellence, authenticity and the freedoms we all value.”

“What excites me most about joining Staccato is the opportunity to help build on a brand that represents more than a firearm,” said Driessen. “Staccato stands for community, service and freedom, and through platforms like HAVOC, Staccato Ranch, and Staccato Vegas, we have the chance to create unforgettable experiences that connect people to those values in a powerful way.”
