Squadra Inc. added two new members to its sales team. Greg Demgen will assume the role of the company’s VP of Sales and Marketing, while Dave Thile is charged with heading inside sales and customer service.

In his new post, Demgen is tasked with leading all sales and marketing related activities for the company. Demgen will be pioneering golf, growing cycling and multisport markets by letting the world know what Squadra does and the advantages Squadra has in its production and products.

Industry veteran Greg Demgen has spent the past 20 years in cycling and sporting goods-specific sales and marketing roles. Most recently, Demgen served as VP Sales and partner with DeFeet International. Demgen also has held positions with Pearl Izumi, Bolle and Rudy Project.

Demgen formerly was a world class cyclist as well-he was a national champion and World Championship bronze medalist. Demgen was the first American to win a stage race in Europe in 1977, and he was a founding member of the 7-ELEVEN Team.

“Greg brings not only a ton of experience to the product side of things from his experience in the saddle, but also he has a wealth of industry sales knowledge that will help Squadra continue to expand its market share. We’re very excited to have him on our team,” says Squadra Founder and President Dan Weatherford.

Dave Thile will lead inside sales and customer service efforts. Thile most recently was with Campagnolo North America for seven years in various roles. In addition to being an accomplished cyclist, Thile brings customer care experience to Squadra from years in retail sales, management and buying.

“When I decided to join Squadra, I knew we had to find one key person to head up our sales team in house,” Demgen says. “Dave has a great combination of innate personality traits and industry experience that makes him a winner.”
