Spyder Active Sports realigned its sales organizational structure in the Mid Atlantic and New England areas from three regions to two and hired two sales groups to represent the new territories. The changes were made to provide a better communication and service model in the brand’s significant East Coast retail base.

Moving forward, the state of Connecticut will join the New England region that includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. New York will align with the Mid Atlantic territory of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia. “These are very important regions for the Spyder brand,” Spyder sales director Jeff Sale said. “We have worked extensively to find new agencies that are diverse with multiple bodies to give ultimate service to our accounts. This also allows us to reach consumers with a variety of grass roots events in the future,” he added.

Danny Clayton will cover New England’s sales territory. Clayton has worked in the action sports industry for over twenty years. During that time he has represented O’Neill, Oakley as inside and outside sales and management, Burton Snowboards in sales management, and currently represents top tier brands through his agency, greenrep.org, which focuses on the “green” sales niche. He and his sales agency, made up of his brother Steve Clayton and sales assistant Jacqui Poutre, bring a combined 40 years of industry sales and grass roots marketing experience to Spyder.

“Spyder is among the few A-level iconic industry brands. I live for the A team,” Danny Clayton said. Clayton’s team and showroom are based out of Johnson, VT.

Industry veteran Peter Seminara will lead the Spyder rep group in the Mid Atlantic territory from offices in New Jersey. During his 15 years with Burton, Seminara played a critical role in the grass roots development of the sport and the business that followed. In 2003 Seminara was recruited by Spyder to help launch the Section Snowboard Apparel brand, and was named director of sales for the brand. Seminara most recently was the Mid Atlantic sales rep for Helly Hansen.

Joining Seminara is Susanne Stack, who has been a sales rep for both Nils and Burton for the past ten years. Erin Yago and Terrence McGuire round out the sales team, both of who have worked with Seminara during the last four selling seasons.

The newly appointed Spyder representatives will begin servicing their territories immediately.
