Sports Specialist Ltd. to Move to Denver

 

The decision to move the company to Colorado was based primarily on the desire to locate the company as close as possible to the center of the snowsports industry.  The changing needs of the consumer coupled with the rapidly evolving retail landscape requires that the company to be better positioned to serve the needs of its growing number of new specialty snowsport retail members, both city and resort stores. 

 

 

Chairman of SSL, Mark Williams of Williams Ski & Patio in Highland Park, Illinois, states “moving the company to Denver puts us closer to the key activities associated with the snow sports business, i.e. the Winter Sports Market and SIA Snow Show plus the post show national demo, major rep shows and other industry organizations. The Board is excited about the opportunities this move will have to strengthen all aspects of SSL’s operations and position us for strong future growth.”

 

 

Secretary of SSL, Brad Nelson, owner of Hi Tempo Ski & Sail in White Bear Lake, MN and also Chairman of NSSRA, states “retail in general and snowsport retail in particular is going through tremendous changes.
