The Sports Authority Inc. and GSI Commerce Inc. have added a 10-year extension to their existing long-term e-commerce agreement. Services GSI provides include Web and order processing technologies, fulfillment, customer care operations, and comprehensive design and interactive services including selected paid search and affiliate marketing services.

“Adding 10 years to our existing contract is recognition of GSI's ability to continue to stay ahead of industry trends,” said Doug Morton, CEO for Sports Authority. “Sports Authority's online business has continued to grow since we started as one of GSI's first partners.”

Since launching, GSI integrated four separate companies that came together as a result of a merger under the nationally recognized Sports Authority.

“It's truly been a rewarding collaboration with Sports Authority — from creating the brand's online presence as one of our first partners in 1999 to the significant expansion of influence the chain currently has in the sporting goods industry,” said Bob Liewald, executive vice president of merchandising for GSI Commerce. “We've continually worked together and strengthened the merchandise offering as well as inclusion of private label items to its already robust assortment.”
