Sporting Classics Magazine has presented its 2009 Award of Excellence in the Timeless Classic category to Remington Arms Company, Inc. for the companys commitment in offering the exceptionally-handcrafted Parker AAHE 28-gauge double barrel side-by-side. The award was presented to Carlos Martinez, Remingtons Product Manager for Premium and Custom Firearms, during the recent Safari Club International Convention held in Reno, Nevada.
The Parker Gun has been revered by shotgun enthusiasts worldwide as one of historys most remarkable guns, said Martinez, when accepting the award. And to bring this classic masterpiece back to the marketplace today in its original design is a privilege for those of us involved. I would like to express our sincere thanks to Sporting Classics for recognizing the AAHE 28-gauge as a timeless classic and acknowledging Remingtons role.
Remington acquired Parker Gun Works operations in 1934 and, in 2006, , along with Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing, engineered the comeback of this Parker gun.
