Kris Kuster, newly appointed CEO of Sport Obermeyer this spring, is charting a clear course for the iconic Aspen-based ski and outerwear brand’s future.
In the past six weeks, Obermeyer has welcomed three new hires, including Michelle Hollingsworth as product creative Director, Garrett Waldron as chief operations officer (COO) and Sam Minassian as chief growth officer (CGO).
Sport Obermeyer also promoted Brett Anderson to CFO, Brad Miller to chief sales officer (CSO) and Meredith Janos to merchandise manager.
With these appointments, Obermeyer has fully refreshed the C-suite leadership team to “guide the brand into its next era and mark an important step in building on the brand’s legacy of innovation, community and mountain culture,” said the company in a media release.
“These leaders bring an incredible mix of creativity, operational expertise and passion for the mountains,” said Kuster. “Together, they will drive Obermeyer’s vision forward, honoring our Aspen roots while fueling the brand’s evolution for the next 75 years.”
The hires and promotions are said to align with Obermeyer’s ongoing brand evolution, which involves elevating design, expanding growth channel, and strengthening its global presence while remaining true to its Aspen roots.
