Spenco Medical Corporation announced the launch of a bold new look for its performance insoles packaging and supporting merchandising materials. Clean, powerful and clearly Spenco, the redesign is the result of a year long effort, supported by research, which found customers wanted to quickly determine which Spenco product was right for them. The new packaging, stylishly designed to stand out in a retail environment, is visually unique and informative.

“Research continues to show that proper footcare has a substantial impact on a person’s activity level and overall health. This new packaging design and merchandising program will allow Spenco customers to quickly find the solution to their foot discomfort,” said Ryan Cruthirds, VP of Sales & Marketing at Spenco. “We are very excited to introduce the new look of Spenco footcare into the marketplace.”

The five primary categories of Spenco footcare products include:

– Spenco PolySorb Replacement Insoles combine lightweight contoured polyurethane bonded to a layer of SpenCore material to provide shock absorption and energy return for overall foot comfort.

– Spenco RX Doctor Recommended products with exclusive SpenCore Material helps absorb shock, reduce friction and improve overall foot comfort.

– Spenco GEL products feature exclusive multi-density Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) Gel for targeted support and cushioning for all day comfort.

– Spenco for Her Insoles provide cushioning, support and stability specifically designed for women and feature Q Factor Technology to help guide a woman’s natural stride into a centralized and balanced path.

– Spenco Kid’s Insoles provide support and cushioning designed for growing feet.

Packaging Redesign

Spenco’s updated fifth panel design improves package durability while adding style. The semi-transparent window shows the insole product in the package and invites consumers to read the back panel and open the package to better evaluate the product. Additionally, box color changes on a line-by-line and item-by-item basis builds on Spenco’s heritage of using colors to visually identify each item.

The updated packaging will be complemented by an attractive, point of purchase (POP) free-standing rack system. The rack is easy to assemble and provides Spenco retail partners with a versatile, attractive display for a multitude of Spenco products- including insoles, PolySorb Total Support sandals and 2nd Skin wound care items.

Reducing Environmental Impact

In addition to incorporating a bold new look, Spenco has also taken
steps to create a more eco-friendly package for its products by shifting
away from PVC based materials to a more easily recycled polypropylene
(PP#5). The new footcare packaging will also include product information
written in English, French and Spanish to further reduce the amount of
packaging needed to market internationally.

The new packaging and merchandising rollout will be supported
nationally with updated sales materials, customer communications and
Company website.
