Sports Emotion, the Zaragoza, Spain-based parent of the Fútbol Emotion, Basketball Emotion and Running Emotion retail chains, appointed Alberto Martinez, formerly at Adidas, as chief commercial officer.
Martinez previously worked at Adidas for over 15 years with his last role being senior director trading DTC FO Europe. Before that, he was the Director of E-Com & Strategy DTC FO Merchandising Europe at Adidas, working from the company’s headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany.
At Sports Emotion, Martinez will lead the company’s global commercial strategy, integrating e-commerce and retail maximizing sales and profitability. In addition, he will drive the “professionalization and automation of the commercial department and all related processes (purchasing, supply chain, demand planning and product management).”
