Michael Pickett is replacing his father Greg Pickett as president and CEO at the sports nutrition company Cytosport. Greg Pickett, who led the company with Michael Pickett since its inception, will remain the chairman of the board of directors. Michael Pickett was serving as COO.

“I have great confidence in Michael's leadership and keen business judgment. We have been partners in the exceptional growth of CytoSport from the very beginnings of the company,” said Greg Pickett. “The company is growing very rapidly largely as a result of Michael's efforts.”

“To me, it's all about the team. I feel as though my father will be the head coach and I will be the quarterback,” said Michael Pickett. “I look forward to further developing and strengthening our position as the leader in enhanced, protein-based functional beverages. We have an exceptional organization and I take great pride in working with this team.”

CytoSport also announced additional promotions within the executive team. Nikki Brown who previously served as VP of marketing has been promoted to chief marketing officer and was elected to the board of directors. “Nikki's impact on the company's overall prestige and image has been enormous. Her ability and willingness to work closely with Michael is a great source of pride for our entire family,” said Greg Pickett.

David Weber, who joined CytoSport in April, 2008, as CFO, has been promoted to COO. David will oversee all financial and operational functions of the company. Mike Dittman, who previously served as VP of Finance, has been promoted to CFO.
