Blackpowder Products, Inc. (BPI) has announced addition of Tony Smotherman to the CVA National Pro Staff team. Tony brings with him a strong background in muzzleloading hunting experience and technical gun knowledge that was gained through years of previous association with Knight Rifles. Tony will will be field testing new CVA products, writing muzzleloading related articles, and conducting numerous hunting seminars.
“The timing for this change could not have been more perfect,” Smotherman recently stated. “Just when changes in the industry caused me to look for a new brand to align myself with, CVA introduced the APEX rifle. Now, I've always been pretty particular about my guns, but I'll tell you, this gun is amazing. I am a trigger freak, and straight out of the box the APEX's trigger was just unreal. And the Quick Release breech plug design is unmatched by anything else on the market. It came out with just a twist of my fingers – after more than 20 shots! Add to that the solid, well balanced feel of the gun, and I was just hooked.”
