Distributors Cyclone Bicycle Supply and Highway Two have gone live with SmartEtailing's Supplier Sync technology, which enables consumers to view many of their products from a subscribing dealer’s website. The technology uses live inventory updates indicating whether a product is in stock “in store” or “in warehouse” and enables retail customers to arrange local pick-up or delivery.

“We see SmartEtailing as the ideal channel for providing our dealers with an expanded selection of product without necessarily increasing their inventory,” said John Byfield, general manager for Cyclone Bicycle Supply of Portland, OR. “With next-day delivery to many of our customers, we believe SmartEtailing’s Buy Local Now feature, which has been adopted by many of the brands that we distribute, will also encourage consumers to purchase from their local IBD and experience the value-added by their experienced staff and service department.”

Retailers using a SmartEtailing web catalog can also now easily and confidently display Highway Two’s full product offering. Olney, IL-based Highway Two is a joint venture sales and distribution company owned by Continental Tire and Selle Royal and the North America distributor of Continental tires, Brooks saddles, Fizik products, Selle Royal, crankbrothers and Abus Security products.

“Highway Two is a brand-owned distribution company which gives us the flexibility to inventory each brand's full range from top to bottom,” said Highway Two President George Eubanks. “Adding Sync with SmartEtailing will help our retail partners sell all of these items and increase their competitive advantage in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”
