Skirt Sports announced its sponsorship of professional triathlete Hillary Biscay. Biscay joins Skirt Sports with 47 Iron-distance finishes in her professional career.

“Hillary is one of the most prolific Ironman triathletes in the world and we are thrilled to have her on our team,” said Nicole DeBoom, founder and CEO of Skirt Sports. “She is the ultimate Skirts Sports woman – her positive attitude, enthusiam for life and motivation to succeed are not only inspirational, but aspirational as well. She just all around rocks!”

A resident of Tucson, Ariz., Biscay originally hails from Calif. where she discovered her first love, swimming, and completed her master's degree in English at the University of Southern California. In 2000, she competed in the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in the 200 meter breaststroke and has raced as a professional triathlete since 2005.

Biscay's professional resume includes a 2008 Ironman Wisconsin victory, five 2nd place Iron-distance finishes, fifteen Iron-distance top three finishes and a 2nd place finish at the 2010 Ultraman World Championship. She is also the first woman to record six top five Ironman finishes in one season (2006). In 2011, Biscay is slated to compete at such prestigious races as the Oceanside 70.3, Ironman Coeur d'Alene and Rev3 series.

When Biscay is off-duty, she loves a giant salad and is a fan of all things veggie with the occasional craving for dark chocolate with nuts. She also enjoys coaching amateur triathletes including her little sister, Cameron Biscay, and has a mean iPod mix featuring lots of Snoop Dog, Pink, Taylor Swift, Ice Cube and Rage Against the Machine. This September Biscay will lead a team of six women from her family to do the Susan G. Komen Foundation benefit walk in Washington, D.C. to raise money in honor of her Aunt Jennifer, a cancer survivor and team member on the walk.

“I have been a huge Skirt Sports fan since they launched the original running skirt in 2004,” noted Biscay. “In fact, I earned my first Ironman podium finish in 2006 in a pink Transition Girl skirt. To this day, I am continually amazed at how putting on a cute Skirt Sports outfit brings extra energy and enthusiasm to my training runs; I love how the gear looks so much that I truly cannot wait to put it on and show it off!”
