To support its growth, Skirt Sports, the women's fitness apparel company, said it recently
relocated its company headquarters, nearly doubling the square footage
of its previous location to 7,810 square feet of office and warehouse
space in Boulder, CO.

The warehouse accounts for two-thirds of Skirt
Sports new space, with offices and an onsite photography studio — a
first for the company — filling the remaining space at 6205 Lookout
Road. Skirt Sports currently has 11 employees and plans to grow its
headcount to over 20 in the next four years.

The company said gross revenues increased more than 50% over 2009.
It projected overall revenue growth of over 50% in 2011.

“Skirt Sports sales in 2010 were very balanced throughout the year which had a huge impact as compared to the first five years of the company where we experienced heavier spring and summer sales,” said Nicole DeBoom, CEO and founder of Skirt Sports. “Our 2011 forecasts prove we are no longer a startup — we are officially in the game now and we are incredibly motivated to make a huge impact in the women's fitness apparel industry!”

“The growth of Skirt Sports over the past six years has been incredible,” stated DeBoom. “We were spilling out of our previous location and needed a much larger space to accommodate our operations. This move is part of our strategic growth plan and will enable us to effectively meet our expansion needs.”

Growth is expected to be driven by the expansion of Skirt Sports active lifestyle category geared towards travel, recreational sports and everyday active living. Skirt Sports will also penetrate the golf and tennis categories with an appearance at the PGA Merchandising Show in Orlando. Additionally, Skirt Sports will expand its highly successful Skirt Chaser racing series with its new retailer-driven Skirt Chaser Dash events — a series of Skirt Chaser runs of various distances.

On Feb. 12, 2011, Skirt Sports Skirt Chaser 5k will take place in Tempe, AZ with a second Skirt Chaser 5k scheduled in Denver in September. Skirt Sports has also slated additional retail growth in Australia and Canada, and will soon announce exciting partnerships with several pro athletes in the fields of running, triathlon and golf.
