Kim Kardashian’s lifestyle brand Skims has promoted Tracy Romulus Nguyen to chief communications officer, a new position. Among her most significant roles has been her reported role in developing the partnership between Nike and Skims.
Nguyen joined Skims in 2024 as executive vice president of communications and entertainment. Since then, she has led the brand’s global communications strategy, helping “strengthen its presence within the broader cultural landscape.”
Following her promotion, Nguyen will retain her position as co-general manager of NikeSkims while overseeing celebrity, talent and sports partnerships.
Before joining Skims, Nguyen served as chief brand officer of KKW Brands, the parent company and corporate umbrella for Kardashian’s beauty and fragrance ventures, from 2017. She also co-founded Industry Public Relations, which she led for over a decade, and previously held leadership positions at People’s Revolution, 5W Public Relations and Sunshine Sachs.
“From her time as a trusted advisor across my entire brand portfolio — when Skims was just an idea — to joining Skims in a formal executive capacity more than two years ago, Tracy has been an incredible partner and leader,” said Kardashian. “She understands the brand at its core — how to protect it, grow it and put it in front of the right audience at the right moment. This well-deserved promotion reflects the trust that Jens and I have in Tracy’s strategic and creative thinking.”
Jens Grede, CEO and co-founder of Skims, said, “Tracy has proven time and again that she has one of the sharpest instincts in the industry,” said Grede. “Expanding her role to give her broader oversight across Skims’ global communications, entertainment, sports and brand partnerships feels like the most natural next step. We’re excited to see the incredible ways she’ll continue to help us grow.”
