Skechers looks to make another pre-game splash on Sunday, February 8, as the footwear brand airs a new commercial nationwide just before kickoff of Super Bowl LX, when the New England Patriots face the Seattle Seahawks.

Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actress, producer and entrepreneur Sofía Vergara will kick off Skechers’ participation this Sunday by “tossing her useless shoes” for something so much better — the convenience of Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins.

This will be Skechers’ 13th Super Bowl Sunday commercial appearance.

“No one can kick off a game like Sofía. She brings energy, passion and attitude to the field with her signature style and confidence,” commented Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers. “She’s the perfect fit for Team Skechers, and will remind the millions of viewers that life is always easier and more comfortable when you go hands-free with Skechers Slip-ins.”

The company said Skechers has been a perennial advertiser during the Big Game. The brand’s first appearance featured Joe Montana in 2010, and last year it was Andy Reid, who was also coaching the game.

Other notable past Skechers Big Game commercial headliners include Snoop Dogg, Mark Cuban with a French bulldog named Mr. Quiggly, Tony Romo, Mr. T, and Willie Nelson singing “On the Road Again.”
