Silencer Central, the suppressor retailer, appointed Ryan Houck as senior director of marketing, Daniel Baugher as director of sales, and Shawn Porter as event sales manager.

“During the past few years of growth and challenges, I’ve just been so proud of the team we’ve put together and what they’ve been able to accomplish. Now, as we continue growing that team, I’m more confident than ever about the company’s future,” said Brandon Maddox, Silencer Central’s founder and CEO. “The leaders we’ve brought in possess an amazing depth of experience and bring fresh ideas that will continue to fuel the company. We are looking ahead, and it’s a fun time to be part of Silencer Central.”

Houck comes to Silencer Central after holding marketing roles at Duluth Trading Co., Timberland, and Nike. Silencer Central said, “He helped each company manage growth and achieve revenue gains while adding efficiency and accuracy to processes.”

Prior to Silencer Central, Baugher worked with companies like Black Rifle Coffee Co., 5.11, and Outtech. Silencer Central said Baugher helped each brand “build momentum in sales, enter new channels, and expand market share.”

Porter comes to Silencer Central with a background in operations and retail leadership within the firearms and outdoor recreation industry. Silencer Central said event sales manager role is “not only important to ensure the company’s future growth, but also foundational to the sales culture and legacy at Silencer Central. Brandon Maddox made his first suppressor sales at gun shows, and Silencer Central’s events team keeps the business closely connected with the market and its customers.”
