Sierra Trading Post has selected 10 bloggers to contribute to a new section on its social media hub devoted to recreating in the Sierra Nevadas.

The bloggers content will appear on the #teamsierra page at Sierra SocialHub, which aggregates content from the retailers various social media channels. Links to the content will be distributed via  the #teamsierra has tag on Twitter.

“These bloggers have shown incredible enthusiasm for the outdoors,” said Andy Hawbaker, a Sierra Trading Post blogger for the Sierra SocialHub. “Their experiences are very relatable for our audience. They’re not all climbing Everest or skydiving from the moon. They’re hikers and cyclists. Campers and backpackers.”

Members of #TeamSierra include The Morning Fresh, Modern Hiker, A Colorado Gal, Adventure Inspired, Adventure Tykes, Gina Begin, The Outdoor Adventure, Tales of a Mountain Mama, You Did What With Your Weiner and Walk Simply. Some #TeamSierra members have led or joined in the retailer’s Thursday afternoon Twitter chats, #STPLive, during which followers share adventure stories, tips and ideas for future trips as well as strategies on how to be a successful weekend warrior.

“Just like our customers, these bloggers come from all walks of life,” Hawbaker says. “Modern Hiker lives in Los Angeles. Adventure Tykes motivates other parents to get outside with their kids. Gina Bègin has lived in her car for the last two years and Tales of a Mountain Mama lives in Yellowstone National Park. Each brings something different to the conversation about outdoor adventuring.”

The 10 #TeamSierra bloggers already are sharing their adventures on the Sierra SocialHub. Over the next six months, they’ll post their honest opinions on product they choose to review and get support from Sierra Trading Post for giveaways on their own blogs. In exchange, #TeamSierra members get to keep the product they review and are paid modestly when their posts are published on the SocialHub.

“We believe in getting outside then blogging about it,” says Juliette Rule, Sierra Trading Post’s voice of Sierra manager. “We’re excited to work with people who think like us and are just as excited to share stories about getting outside.”
