After 45 years in business, Sierra Designs is entering the backpack category with a line of mid-weight packs featuring a molded composite framesheet with a single DAC aluminum stay and a custom forged pivot at the waistbelt. 
The Traverse Series packs will be available in Spring 2011 in three form factors for both men and women. A 65-liter bag is priced to sell at the $240 price point, while the 50-liter will sell at $200 and the 30-liter at $160.
