SnowSports Industries America (SIA) has reported that the SIA.05 SnowSports Show is officially sold out. The SIA.05 SnowSports Show will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 24-27, 2005.

To date over 321,000 square feet has been sold with over 360 exhibitors on tap to showcase more than 750 brands. SIA has already secured space contracts from 18 new exhibitors including Patagonia, The North Face, Yakima, Garmont and NHS/Santa Cruz. “The sold out status marks the first time in the history of the Show that the floor space is 100% occupied 10 months out,” said Scott Mellin, SIA director of sales and marketing. SIA.05 sponsorship sales and event commitments are also tracking to reach record levels.

The first draft of the floor plan will be available for viewing on thesnowtrade.org in mid April of this year. For companies who would like to exhibit at SIA.05 but have not yet requested space, a wait list program has been developed to ensure that any space that becomes available thru attrition is allocated on a priority basis.

“Last year’s show achieved a sold out status for the first time in many years. This positive momentum is a clear indicator that the industry is moving in a progressive direction and recognizes that the SIA SnowSports Show is an important event for both exhibitors and retailers,” said David Ingemie, president of SIA.

“This is great news and demonstrates that the high energy level of the SIA.04 Show has carried over to planning for the .05 show. The SIA.04 Show worked, was a great event for suppliers and retailers, and as a result, suppliers want to secure a spot in the show,” said David Lampert, president of Swix Sports.

The SIA.05 Show will offer a host of new elements for retailers and exhibitors including two new entrance locations for the alpine hardgoods and softgoods halls, enhanced and expanded showcase exhibits, VIP lounges and Internet services.

The SIA.04 SnowSports Show welcomed 15,559 attendees, a 1.3% increase over the previous year. Over 840 brands were showcased at the sold out 2004 Show with 73 brand new exhibitors on hand to debut the latest in snow sports products.
