SnowSports Industries America is producing five one-day education workshops for suppliers, retailers and industry reps featuring presentations structured to move product and help businesses make more money in today’s competitive market. The workshop series debuted last Fall in New England and as a result of its success has added three new venues for this upcoming Fall.

SIA’s recently commissioned research study, the Model for Success, will serve as the cornerstone for the workshops. Each breakout session will focus on a key component as addressed in the morning presentation from Leisure Trends Group on the study. Sessions are as follows:

  • Model for Success – Jim Spring or Jason Gee, Leisure Trends Group
  • Snow Sports Retail Sales: An Interactive Approach to Sales Training Techniques to Improve Your Business-Mike Fulmer, 3Point5
  • Marketing on the Internet: Tips on How to Use A Unique Marketplace Tool Effectively-Roy Turner and Mike Duncan, Sage Island Productions
  • Retail Design | Branding | Merchandising: The Three Pillars to Maximizing Sales & Customer Loyalty – Brian Dyches, VP, Watt International, Inc.

The workshop series will kick off with two venues in New England scheduled for September 20-21, 2006. The first workshop will be held in Manchester, NH (Highlander Inn and Conference Center), on September 20 and the second will take place on September 21 in Burlington, VT (Wyndham Hotel). The series will then head West for presentations in Denver/Lakewood (Sheraton Denver West-Lakewood) on October 3, in Seattle (Hilton Seattle) on October 4 and in Orange County, CA (Radisson Hotel Newport Beach) on October 5.
