SnowSports Industries America hired John “Reddy” Kennedy the Central Regional sales and marketing manager covering states and provinces in the central United States and Canada.

Reddy will help expand sales of SIA’s products as well as service the needs of members and retailers located from Ohio to Utah and North into Canada. His duties will include education of members and industry groups on SIA’s diverse benefits package and selling SIA’s signature products, like the SIA.06 trade show, Retail Audit and the new inSight program. He will join a sales force that already includes Ed Wray and Dave Wray, Eastern and Western sales and marketing managers, respectively, along with in-house associate director of sales and membership, Chris Semon.

“Our sales reps serve as an extension of SIA to the industry and help us better communicate to our members and the retail and rep communities,” said SIA President David Ingemie. “By adding a third sales manager to an already dynamic team, this will allow us to foster our mantra as The Intelligent Partner.”

Kennedy comes to SIA with over 25 years in the winter sports business and most recently served as the director of online sales for Mountain Sports Media. While employed at MSM, Kennedy developed all online advertising campaigns complementing Time Inc’s SKI and SKIING magazine print publications. Prior to his stint at MSM, Kennedy served as director of event marketing for The Skiing Company and previously held other marketing and sales positions at various resorts throughout the Colorado area.

“His experience and achievements with sales to SIA members, resorts as well as various segments of our industry will add significant value to SIA as well as to our members”, said Semon. Reddy added, “I’m very excited to work on this side of the industry after spending a lot of time as an exhibitor at SIA’s show and in the sales and marketing side of the resort business.”
