Minneapolis-based Shock Doctor, the mouthguards specialist, announced today that sports industry sales executive Paul Rutherford will join Shock Doctor as general manager, Shock Doctor EMEA. Rutherford, who will be based in the Netherlands, will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to deliver Shock Doctor revenue and profit growth targets in Europe. He will manage and develop markets in the European Union by establishing and effectively managing distributor partners.
Previously, Rutherford worked in the sports and lifestyle industry for more than 20 years with Reebok in Europe. His career at Reebok included serving in numerous sales and key account management positions. He most recently held the position of Business Unit Director at Reebok. Prior to his sales career, he played professional soccer in the U.K. for 13 years. He received his degree from Sunderland Business College.
