In the aftermath of the massive cyber security breaches that have threatened consumers and businesses alike over the last six months, the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA), along with its Platinum Corporate Partner Electronic Transaction Systems Corp. (ETS) will be hosting a webinar on SFIA members can best protect themselves from cyber threats.

The webinar will take place on May 22 at 2:00pm EST and features Tahir Khan, ETS’ Chief Information Officer. With over 20 years of experience in information security and technology, Khan is an adjunct professor at George Mason University instructing in forensics, security and tactical computing. Mr. Khan spent more than a decade at Northrop Grumman where he served various federal agencies in information security and network operations.

“The cyber security landscape has changed dramatically in the last few years and threat actors are using increasingly sophisticated techniques for financial gain,” said Khan. “With more and more companies utilizing Omni-channel, it is imperative for the sports and fitness industry to be aware of the tactics, techniques and procedures that are utilized by malicious threat actors and learn how to combat their techniques effectively.”

Webinar attendees will have the opportunity to submit specific cyber security questions related to their company anonymously and have them answered by information technology experts.

The SFIA “How to Protect Your Company from Cyber Attacks” webinar is FREE for all current SFIA members and $149 for non-members. Click here for more information and to register.
