The Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) has promoted Cameron Jacobs and John Peters to management roles in communications and research and membership sales.

Cameron Jacobs has been named Manager of Communications & Research for the association, after serving as SFIA Business Operations Manager and PHIT America Research & Social Media Manager. Jacobs will be responsible for media relations, press releases, social media, SFIA Weekly and working with SportsMarketingSurveys USA to head the research department in the Silver Spring office.

Following a successful year in increasing and retaining member companies, Peter has been named Director of Sales and Member Services. While continuing to lead the membership department and selling registrations to SFIA’s Thought Leadership events, under his new title, Peters will also oversee the growth of SFIA’s Sports Tech Marketplace at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Jacobs will report directly to Kathy Mejasich, VP of business development and Peters will report directly to Tom Cove, CEO & president.

SFIA is a global trade association of manufacturers, retailers, and marketers in the sports products and fitness industry. SFIA seeks to promote sports and fitness participation as well as industry vitality through research, thought leadership, public affairs, industry affairs, and member services.
