Position Summary:

Seasoned footwear professional with extensive experience in marketing and sales. Relied upon to lead, influence and monitor product development cycle for the custom line. Requires expertise in design, development,
merchandising and costing. Requires solid people management and project management skills. Ability to build relationships and engage buyers in the design process is critical. Position reports to the Group
Merchandising Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume full accountability for the custom category.
  • Able to develop in a way that puts the right product at the right time and price into the marketplace.
  • Adapt and makes adjustments to plans and strategies as conditions warrant.
  • Apply creative thinking to creation of solutions to existing barriers or obstacles.
  • Manage multiple projects at all levels to ensure they are properlyexecuted.
  • Foster entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Demonstrate broader decision making abilities
  • Continually responds in a more proactive and more strategic environment with global thinking.
  • Bring creative solutions to impact the business
  • Have strong competitive knowledge
  • Take into account the global nature of the business

Requirements:

Bachelor degree or equivalent. Five to ten years in Footwear industry with focus on product marketing and sales. Management experience required. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills. Must be able to manage
multiple projects simultaneously, and meet established deadlines. Approximately 50% domestic travel.
