Seirus has signed a new licensing agreement with the National Football League (NFL) for the 2025 season, manufacturing a variety of all-weather gloves, face and head protection.

“The decision to partner with the NFL to provide award-winning gear to NFL fans is a meaningful moment,” said Mike Carey, founder and president of Seirus and a former NFL official. “From my personal experience, I know fans will be in the stands and the streets, representing their favorite team through the snowstorms of winter just as fiercely as they do in the warmth of summer.” Carey continued, “Everyone knows being comfortable is key to a great experience, and we’ve been making gear to keep people comfortable outdoors for 40 years. Fans can now show up in our trusted gloves, head and face protection with confidence, no matter the weather. It’s the perfect alignment of my lifetime passions, and we couldn’t be more honored to be the brand chosen to keep NFL fans protected from cold and the sun.”

Carey, who played football in college, later became an official and began working as an NFL side judge. He was promoted to referee in 1995 and continued in the role through 2013, including refereeing Super Bowl XLII between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants in 2008.

“From game official to founder, the NFL is excited to get a second chance to work with Mike Carey and now the Seirus brand to provide fans an unbelievable assortment of gear for extreme weather, said Ryan Samuelson, VP of Consumer Products at the NFL. “Throughout the NFL season, we can experience everything across the weather spectrum, and fans can stay protected in style no matter what Mother Nature throws at us on gameday.”
